Vom 5.-17. Oktober findet der Billabong Pro in Mundaka statt – der 8. von 10 Stopps der diesjährigen Worldtour. Noch liegt Joel Parkinson knapp vor Mick Fanning, wenn es aber so weiter geht wie bei den letzten 2 Stopps, liegt Fanning bald vorne. Und mal sehen, ob Marlon Lipke dieses Jahr doch noch die Kurve kriegt. Viel Spass und Live Action HIER!

The Quiksilver Pro France, Stop No. 7 on the 2009 ASP World Tour, will kick off in three days on the South West Coast of France, settling down between the world famous beach breaks of Hossegor and Seignosse, and the famous Basque reef break of Lafitenia. A fully mobile event with 42 km at its disposal, the Quiksilver Pro France (the only French stop of the ASP World Tour) will give the world’s best surfers two weeks of tube-riding, high-performance waves and big surf possibilities. Einige heiße Heats sind dabei … aus Deutscher Sicht interessant: Marlon Lipke trifft im Heat 7 auf den Ex-Weltmeister C.J. Hobgood (USA) und Kekoa Bacalso (HAW). Harte Nuss! Kaum ist der Contest in Zarautz (mit dem Gewinner Gony Zubizarreta) zu Ende, zieht die WQS Karawane weiter in den Nordwesten Spaniens, nach Pantin. Dort steht der nächste 5* Contest an, mit dem Zarautz Gewinner und diversen Deutschen Startern (Ricardo Lange und Alexander El Naib in Runde 1 / 144 und Nico von Rupp in Runde 2 / 96). The Junior revolution back Tenerife for the “Islas Canarias SantaProJunior”, Canary Islands
From September 2th to 6th, the Canary Islands in the town of Los Realejos will host the 3 stars ASP European Pro Junior event and the final ProJunior of the year, with some of the world’s best Under 21 surfers attending the 3 Star rated event. Settling in the North of the island of Tenerife at the beach of El Socorro, city of Los Realejos, the black sand beach surrounded by abrupt cliffs will once again witness some of the hottest surfing action, showcasing Europe’s finest upcoming surfers and the fight of Maxime Huscenot to stick up for the last year SantaProJunior champion and European title. ZARAUTZ – Euskadi – The ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) 5-Star San Miguel Pro pres. by Euskaltel will run this week, welcoming some of the world’s best professional surfers in the typical Basque town of Zarautz, current ASP Top 45 surfer Aritz Aranburu’s residence.
As the summer leg of the ASP’s European tour is raging in the Azores Islands, the renowned town of Zarautz will become the stage of pro surfing between September 1 and 6, 2009, defending champion Tim Boal (Anglet, FRA), 26, having answered the call to try and re-conquer his crown. German starter is Ricardo Lange in Round of 144, Heat 8 against Hugo Savalli (REU), Blake Jones (USA) Mohammed Berrada (MAR). Live Action HERE!

ASP WQS 6-Star Azores Pro is ON, Live Web ON
SAO MIGUEL – Azores islands (Tuesday, August 25, 2009) – The first ever ASP sanctionned event to run in the Azores Islands kicked off at midday in solid five foot (1.5 meter) waves at Ribeira Grande, main venue of the ASP 6-Star event.
With renowned surfers already scheduled to surf today in Round 1 of competition, the consistent surf on offer and world class level should bring intensity and exciting action for Day 1 of competition, former ASP World Champion Sunny Garcia (Oahu, HAW), 38.
2 german surfers will start in the round of 144 on tuesday, 25th .., maybe in the next round, too. Get all action and backstage news from Sao Miguel, main island of the Azores archipelago. HERE!
WQS 6* / Sooruz Lacanau Pro / Lacanau (F) / 13.-23.8.09

Vom 13. bis 23.8.09 findet an der französischen Atlantikküste der diesjährige 6* WQS LACANAU PRO statt. Bislang steht als einziger Deutscher Starter Nicolau Von Rupp auf der Teilnehmerliste. Ricardo Lange steht auf der Warteliste und muss hoffen, dass noch einige vor ihm Platzierte abspringen. Mehr Informationen demnächst ….
